Description: This project was done in multiple phases in order to keep the library operational which was very challenging while demolition, and new construction was ongoing. The projects that we work on are far from standard and this was one of them.

We used Oldcastle Fullwal IV in various mullion depths in 101mm, 133mm and 248mm. Also purchased from Oldcastle was their 2020 series silicone glazed vents. Solera L R9 with Lumira Aerogel light diffusing thermo units using clear tempered low iron glass and Oversized thermo units throughout the project.

All vision glass is triple glazed with low E on 2nd surface, argon gas and frit on 3rd surface. Spandrel glass is double glazed having double opaci-coat 300 coatings on 2nd and 4th surface. Anti reflective thermo units at the west elevation using 12mm laminated glass on 12mm laminated glass giving a reflection value of only 3%. All canopy glass and interior glass was all in our scope using tempered laminated glass with frit coatings for balustrades and 12mm clear tempered glass for office partitions. The exterior curtain wall was clear span from floor to parapet at approx. 8m tall without internal reinforcing. We were able to fabricate the frames into modules and ship to site for quick installation and glazing.
